Fun with vintage mountain bikes

My friend Matt grew up in the shadow of Mt. Tam and has been riding mountain bikes since he was a kid. I found these incredible relics in his garage this weekend and we broke them out for a ride through the hills in Sonora, CA.

I put on my best John Prolly impression and snapped some pics. First up, a late-eighties Canondale built for climbing.

A late 80s(?) Canondale frame built with a 26" front wheel and a 24" back wheel. The bottom bracket is a mile off the ground on this thing!

Next up is a mid-nineties full suspension Jamis dakar that is ready to shred.
